The enCurve is a non-surgical modern treatment which uses a high frequency that is able to destroy adipocyte cells and deliver a circumferential reduction for clients.
The apoptosis-inducing radiofrequency penetrates deep into the tissue, targeting the adipocytes. The adipocytes are super excited and oscillate rapidly causing frictional heat. This frictional heat raises the adipocyte temperature to 45 degrees, at which point the cells denaturise. This denaturation causes changes in the integrity of the adipocyte membrane, which leads to apoptosis (cell death), with expulsion of the intracellular lipid. The body’s natural removal process then takes over, permanently removing the damaged cells.
The treatment is comfortable – it can even be relaxing! There is no pinching or constricting of the skin, and enCurve periodically blows air on the treated area to dry up any sweat.
No, the procedure is painless. A few clients experience a warm sensation in the treatment area, which is very well tolerated.
The lymphatic system requires in general 4 weeks to remove the dead fat cells, so the first results are visible after 4 sessions.
In very rare cases there might be a slight tenderness or redness in the treatment area which resolves within a few days.
We recommend avoiding direct sun exposure straight after the treatment.
