IPL Skin Rejuvenation, also known as intense pulsed light treatment, is a non-invasive treatment that emits powerful bursts of light energy to treat common skin imperfections such as redness, freckles, age spots and uneven texture which can be caused by aging and constant exposure to the sun. The delivery of intense pulsed light to the skin is absorbed by unwanted skin pigmentation, causing the pigment to shatter and seal the surrounding small blood vessels.

FAQ
It feels much like an elastic band flicking onto the skin, followed by a warm sensation which is quickly reduced by the inbuilt cooling system.
There is minimal downtime, however with pigment removal sometimes 5-7 days may be required for the pigment to lighten, depending on the persons’ skin and how they respond to the treatment.
Results vary depending on clinical indication and patient response. Results are semi-permanent, and maintenance may be required as our skin is constantly aging and exposed to free radical damage.
The results can be immediate, however with pigment and vascular indications time needs to be allowed for the lymphatic system to assist in the elimination process. This may vary depending on the person.
The treatment can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated and the types of treatment we are performing. It is normally a quick treatment because of the large square tip handpiece.
